College Send-Off Party

The Wardlaw Family hosted a summer send-off for Atlanta-based Rhodes College incoming freshmen, including their daughter Patsy, along with their families. The upscale backyard barbecue was held for 70 guests at their home. The color palette was inspired by school colors red & black with nods to Rhodes’ locale of Memphis, Tennessee.

The Class of 2023 was welcomed to mix and mingle amongst the lawn spotted with red and white gingham dressed tables. Crudite was served on handlettered wooden boards. Mason jars filled with flavored water and sweet tea will provide a cool drink for all, but the star to sip was a signature mocktail named after the school mascot.

Students met their classmates, snapped photos in front of a balloon backdrop, and enjoyed some lawn games before the bbq (and all the fixins’) was served. And for dessert, and as a takeaway, milk & cookies - perfectly alluding to late-night studying snacks.
